Mackie teaches the Mackie Method™ at her studios located in Simsbury, CT and Springfield, MA or via zoom.
Mackie Method offers small group classes, private classes and workshops. Mackie is BASI Pro Bridge® trained, Kripalu® certified and WellCoach® trained. Mackie created The Mackie Method™ a pilates reformer method approach to wellness that is designed for all levels.
Mackie is certified in the Buff Bones® method and she specializes in spinal health and osteoporosis prevention.
Mackie is a member of the Pilates Method Alliance and Yoga Alliance.

About Mackie
Short Bio
Mackie Gardner founded the Mackie Method™, LLC in 2012 to bring reformer pilates to clients of all levels seeking a high quality of life and self transformation. Mackie created her method after she completed BASI ProBridge schooling where she studied directly under renowned BASI founder Rael Isacowitz.
Mackie Method™ was created to offer pilates to anyone seeking to build strength, balance and flexibility while improving focus, improving posture, eliminating chronic pain, strengthening the immune system and improving mood. Mackie pays special attention to the healing power of breath work. Mackie began her wellness journey three decades ago studying nutrition at Simmons college while attending hot yoga classes to improve her genetic spinal condition of degenerative disc disorder and early onset stenosis.
Her yoga practice led her to try pilates which was an immediate salve to her chronic spinal condition. This was the catalyst that inspired Mackie to build Mackie Method™, a thirty session chronological pilates practice focused on transforming the physical self while bringing joy to the emotional self. Mackie has trained many influential dancers, athletes and entertainers yet her favorite clients are those trying pilates for the first time. Her pilates career has extended from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to the East Coast.
Mackie offers a 450-hour Pilates Teacher Training certification program twice per year. Mackie’s passionate love for learning fuels her desire to continually educate herself with the goal of bringing positive change to her clients by improving the mind-body connection through the use of Mackie Method™.

Group Reformer Class
60 Minutes
A reformer pilates class for all levels that combines strength, breath work, balance, stretching and focus to improve posture, eliminate chronic pain, tone all major muscle groups, build core strength, increase flexibility and improve your mood. The reformer adds resistance to movement that can help support a client in attaining improved physical alignment, longer leaner muscle, better balance & coordination, and overall greater body awareness.
Group Tower Class
60 Minutes
A tower pilates class for intermediate levels that uses a system of springs and bars to strengthen, tone and lengthen muscles. An intermediate workout that combines props with the benefits of the Pilates Tower. Previous reformer class experience required.

An equipment based couture pilates class designed for you that combines strength, breath work, balance, stretching and focus to improve posture, eliminate chronic pain, tone all major muscle groups, build core strength, increase flexibility and improve your mood.
Wellness Mentoring Session

As your wellness mentor we will work towards achieving ongoing harmony between body, mind and emotional self. I focus on improving your nutrition, transforming damaging habits, shifting mindset, sustaining a motivating exercise routine and managing anxiety. We will create a personalized program geared towards healthy lifestyle changes that will be fun and sustainable for you.
